The Calgary Flames reduce roster by nine: one prospect assigned to junior, eight try-out players released

Following their first three pre-season outings, the Calgary Flames have reduced their training camp roster. The club announced that nine players have been trimmed from their roster on Tuesday.
The club has released eight players from their try-out agreements (goaltender Jari Kykkanen, defencemen Charles Cote, Quinn Mantei, Tyson Galloway and Donovan McCoy, and forwards Oliver Peer, Nathan Pilling and Oliver Tulk). They have also assigned prospect Jaden Lipinski to the WHL’s Vancouver Giants.
Unsigned junior-aged players remaining in camp include try-out blueliner Mikael Diotte, and prospect blueliner Etienne Morin. Forwards Samuel Honzek, Lucas Ciona and Parker Bell all remain eligible to play in junior this coming season, but all three are under NHL contracts.
