The Calgary Flames added a player to the fold officially yesterday, signing Nick Schneider. That signing, and some discussions I’ve had during the pre-season, led me to this question:
How do the Flames current players fare when you look at which players were acquired by what general managers? (And when?)
With that in mind and for purely informational reasons, here’s a listing of every player in the Flames organization under team control, sorted by the general manager that originally brought them into the organization.

DARRYL SUTTER

Noteworthy: only players left from Sutter era seem to be core players or prospects that took awhile to arrive.

JAY FEASTER

For all his faults, Feaster seemed to do a pretty good job stocking the prospect cupboards – particularly when you look at his impact on the current NHL roster. And his trades and signings are basically half-great and half-facepalm.
