Welcome back to another edition of Throwback Thursday!
This week in 1998 (Dec. 14), Theo Fleury became the first member of the Calgary Flames organization to score 350 goals with the club.
It came in his 11th and final year with the club as two months later he was traded with Chris Dingman to the Colorado Avalanche for Rene Corbet, Wade Belak, Robyn Regher and a compensatory 2nd round pick used to take Jarrett Stoll.
Fleury totalled 364 goals and 830 points in 791 games, placing 2nd, 2nd and 5th in each respective category in franchise history.
Since Fleury, only one player — Jarome Iginla (525) — has scored more goals in a Flames jersey. Sean Monahan is the closest active player with 194 goals, enough to put in him in 7th place.
