Welcome back to another edition of Throwback Thursday!
This week in 2017 (Nov. 7), Jaromir Jagr played in his 1,925th NHL game passing Gordie Howe on the all-time games played list.
Jagr had just signed with the Flames the month prior, but only played in 22 games. He scored one goal and seven points as a third liner and was still a great player providing offence at a five percent rate higher than league average and defence at a three percent rate higher than league average.
But for Jagr, he departed the club in January 2018 via waivers after a combination of age, not having a full training camp and the speed of the NHL led to his demise. Jagr joined Rytiri Kladno, the team he owns, in the Czech2 league.
