A trio of Calgary Flames players are headed to scenic Latvia to represent Canada at the 2023 IIHF men&#8217;s World Championships. Per TSN&#8217;s Darren Dreger, Tyler Toffoli, Milan Lucic and MacKenzie Weegar are going to suit up for Canada.

The 31-year-old Toffoli is coming off his best offensive season in the NHL, posting 34 goals and 73 points this past campaign with the Flames. He&#8217;s previously played at the 2015 Worlds for Canada, where he captured gold.
The 34-year-old Lucic is a pending unrestricted free agent who had been skating with the AHL&#8217;s Calgary Wranglers lately. I guess we know why he was doing that. Lucic had seven goals and 19 points this past season. He&#8217;s never represented Canada at a major IIHF tournament.
The 29-year-old Weegar had a tremendous defensive season, and posted four goals and 31 points in his first season with the Flames. He&#8217;s also making his first appearance with Team Canada, though he played for Canada East at the World Junior-A Championships in 2011-12.
The 2023 IIHF men&#8217;s World Championships runs May 12-28 in Riga, Latvia and Tampere, Finland.
