The Calgary Wranglers and Abbotsford Canucks continue their playoff series on Friday night. The Wranglers won game one of the five game series with a 3-2 overtime win in Calgary on Wednesday night. They’ll look to finish up at home with a perfect record as the next three games, (if they’re all needed) will be played next week in Abbotsford.

The Calgary Wranglers received some good news on Friday morning, as regular season leading scorer Matthew Phillips received no suspension following his match penalty for spearing in game one. Speaking of suspensions, Alex Gallant will be available for the lineup in this game if they so choose as he has served the remainder of his suspension that carried over from the end of the regular season. 
With Phillips eligible for game two, the big question is whether Cole Schwindt finds his way back into the lineup. Schwindt was a regular skater for the Wranglers throughout the season but was scratched in game one. Someone who was able to stand out in the pinch this lineup disruption caused was Dryden Hunt. Hunt was promoted to the first line to fill in for Phillips and scored the first goal of the game just over three minutes after Phillips’ exit. Hunt had a great game and helped turn the tables in Calgary’s favour when that game-changing play happened. 
Even with the Wranglers winning game one, they can’t get too comfortable in this series until it is over. Wednesday’s game was back and forth and had Dustin Wolf not played to the ability he did, it very easily could have gone the other way. Calgary looked a little rusty after their week off and the Canucks are more than capable of exploiting that. They don&#8217;t have the luxury of time to work with anymore and every game matters more and more as they carry on down the stretch. 
These two are already playing at the playoff level intensity and hopefully, the fans are ready to get behind their team with all their support at the dome on Friday before they hit the road next week.
