Flames with a very sluggish start that put them behind the 8-ball. They had a 10-minute section in the second where they took it to the Preds while chasing, but that’s about it. The first line was deployed as a "shut down" option by Brent tonight and they mostly got their heads beat in. Iggy and company rang up a few chances in the third with Nashville sitting on the lead, but they were way under water before that point.
The bomttom six held it’s own again at ES and the third pairing (mostly due to Brodie) were sheltered and they knocked it out of the park. Any defender not facing the Preds bottom-end consistently, though, got their heads beat in.
Not a good night for Calgary against a beatable opponent. They gave up way too many shots and chances against one of the worst teams in the league at getting shots and chances.
