Against all odds the Flames played one of their best games of the season at the end of December against the Canucks. Vancouver has managed to keep winning since then, but they haven’t been quite as dominant on the shot and possession side as they were previously.
The Flames obviously can’t worry about that tonight. They aren’t puck hogs themselves these days and with the Blair Jones now on the shelf they have about one and half lines worth of worthwhile NHL forwards at this point. Brent’s going to have to be on his toes with the last change this evening, becasue AV loves to get his scorers soft ice time. And with no less than 3 AHLers in the Flames top 9, then will be plenty of it.
