Welcome to Stockton and your 2017 – 2018 Stockton Heat.
Today we start the quest for the Calder Cup. We got a taste of it last year, bowing out in Game 5 against San Jose (the 2nd ranked team in the league last year)
Gone are Linden Vey, Matt Frattin, Mike Angelidis, and Mikkel Aagaard, along with Jaime Devane, Keith Aulie, Brandon Bollig, and Michael Kostka.
But new faces have come to town, including the much anticipated arrivals of Spencer Foo and Josh Healey (Healey did make it up last year, but he only got into one game, so I am not counting that). Emile Poirier rejoins the squad and looked very good in the single pre-season game I saw in person.
The Heat released their 2017-2018 opening roster earlier today. Here are the names (in no particular order – *spent time in Stockton last year):

I wanted to thank Flames Nation for this opportunity to provide my insight of the prospects and future Flames. I will supply recaps of all home games (except New Year’s Eve; the only game I know for sure I will be missing). I will try to chime in on a recap after road games with some news and notes. Out of the 34 home games, all but 6 are on weekends. So look for my updates on Saturdays and Sundays, with some in-game reports on other posts.
Go Heat Go!
