The Calgary Flames beat the Anaheim Ducks by a 2-1 score on Sunday night. Here are selected reactions following the game.
The bounce-back game
The Flames were much better than they were against the Kings on Saturday night. Granted, they weren’t perfect, but they did a lot of things that they’ll need to build on going forward.
Netminder Cam Talbot provided his assessment of his team’s bounce-back:
I thought everyone took accountability from last night and came out and played for each other tonight. There’s a lot of good things which we did tonight that we need to do moving forward to be a successful team. I liked our battle level tonight, our compete, our work ethic and our dedication in our own zone to get those pucks out when we needed it.
Cam Talbot named #1 star in Anaheim and deserved it, especially with his third period.
Per @NatStatTrick, high danger chances 10-1 Anaheim in the third. A ton of ten-bell saves of the 11 shots he faced in the final frame. Also huge save on Silfverberg in the second. #Flames

Three cheers for Quine
Alan Quine played for the Stockton Heat on Friday night in San Diego, earning two assists in a 5-1 win. On Saturday night he played again in Bakersfield, earning another two assists in a 4-3 win. He was called up on Sunday morning when it became clear that Sam Bennett wasn’t going to be an option for the game in Anaheim.
#Flames head coach Bill Peters, unprompted, brought up Alan Quine and how he impacted Sunday's game: "You gotta show up doing good things on video so the coach wants to reward you and play you more."

Playing his third game in three nights, Quine played 9:50 on the fourth line and had three shots. You wouldn’t have known he had played the previous two nights from how he was moving around on the fore-check.
