The Calgary Flames have signed a pair of college free agents.
The club announced the signing of Minnesota State University rearguard Connor Mackey, the top college free agent listed by TSN.
Scouting report on @NHLFlames signings: Poolman is considered a hard defender with high character. Mackey may develop into a top 4 at some point. He’s a mobile Dman who can play against top players. https://t.co/U7O2jvuriU

He signed a one-year deal with the Flames.
Calgary has also locked up another defensive prospect in 24-year-old left-shot Colton Poolman. Captain of the University of North Dakota hockey team, Poolman scored four goals and 17 points in 31 games this season.
Much like Mackey, Poolman signed a one-year deal, the Grand Forks Herald reported.
