Rumors abound of the Calgary Flames bringing back their retro jerseys for next season.
According to Icethetics, a leading reporter in the word of hockey jerseys, it looks like the jersey many Flames fans can’t get enough of is coming back.
The league is expected to be introducing a new series of alternate uniforms — something Icethetics is calling fourth jerseys — and they’re described as “throwbacks with a twist.”
Here’s what Icethetics has reported about the Flames jersey:
Their home and road jerseys won’t change but the Flames’ throwbacks should be seen again in 2020-21—likely as third and fourth jerseys.
Calgary has been wearing the red retro’s since 2018, and brought out the white retro’s for last years Heritage Classic. The jerseys themselves are big-time throwbacks to the jerseys the Flames brought with them from Atlanta.
