What a wild night last night in the NHL. David PAstrnak fought Matthew Tkachuk and the Vancouver Canucks made the Edmonton Oilers look silly, blowing a 4-1 lead. That must have put a smile on the face of Flames Nation.
Today’s confirmed goaltender matchups for our highlighted games:
The New York Rangers’ Igor Shesterkin (6-0 record, 2.02 GAA, .929 S%) vs. The Carolina Hurricanes Pyotr Kochetkov (23-13-4 record, 2.33 GAA, .911 S% (regular season))
The Colorado Avalanche’s Alexandar Georgiev (5-1 record, 2.93 GAA, .897 S%) vs. The Dallas Stars’ Jake Oettinger (4-4 record, 2.15 GAA, .915 S%).

Jake Guentzel Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-175)

A $17.50 bet would return $27.50.
Jake Guentzel has cleared this line in both games of this series, with five shots each, averaging 10.0 shot attempts. He’s failed to clear this line in his series against the New York Islanders, but he hasn’t been far off, averaging 2.4 shots on 6.4 shot attempts.
At home, Guentzel sees most of his shots, clearing at a 67% clip, averaging 3.9 shots on 7.3 shot attempts. Against the Rangers, Guentzel has cleared in 14 of his last 15 games, averaging 4.8 shots on 7.5 shot attempts.

Dallas Stars Moneyline (-125)

A $12.50 bet would return $22.50.
We have another instance, as last night, where the home team lost Game 1, so we must hammer them in Game 2. By all accounts, the Stars should have won the opening game. Blowing a 3-0 lead in the first period and only generating seven shots on goal in the second and third periods proves that they let their foot off the gas and paid for it. They won’t make that mistake again tonight. They know what kind of deficit it is to lose your first two home games; they did it last series against Vegas and surely won’t allow it to happen twice in the first two rounds, right?

Last Game Recap

Florida Panthers Moneyline – WON – (+$12.12)
Florida Panthers Puckline – WON – (+$14.50)
Sam Reinhart Over 3.5 Shots on Goal – LOSS – (-$10.00)
The Florida Panthers came through huge for us, dominating the Boston Bruins 6-1 and evening up the series. Reinhart got a 10-minute misconduct to end his game, finishing one shy of his shot on goal line.
All-Time Record: 95-90-1 (+$24.57)
