Well, Edmonton took Game 1 in double overtime. Chris Tanev isn’t going to let his former in-province rival go up 2-0 heading back home, will he?
Today’s confirmed goaltender matchup for our highlighted game:
The Edmonton Oilers’ Stuart Skinner (8-3 record, 2.70 GAA, .888 S%) vs. The Dallas Stars’ Jake Oettinger (8-6 record, 2.11 GAA, .919 S%).

Dallas Stars moneyline (-135)

A $10.00 bet would return $17.40.
Matt Murley’s golden rule of the playoffs is that when the home team loses Game 1, you hammer them in Game 2. The Stars have lost all three Game 1s this postseason but evened the series after Game 2 against the Colorado Avalanche.
Jake Oettinger has simply struggled in Game 1’s this playoffs. He has a 3.28 GAA and a .833 S% through the three games. But he does a great job of bouncing back in Game 2’s, with a 2.54 GAA and a .912 S% this playoff run. The Stars haven’t lost two straight since the first two games of the playoffs against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Evan Bouchard over 2.5 shots on goal (-160)

A $15.00 bet would return $24.37.
Going right back to Evan Bouchard here, he was great for us in Game 1 with four shots on nine attempts, so why not target him again in Game 2?
Bouchard has covered his shots on goal line in six of his last eight games, averaging 3.5 shots on 8.8 shot attempts. Bouchard has been road splits than home splits, as he’s registered three or more shots in 55% of all his road games this season, averaging 3.0 shots on 6.1 shot attempts.
Against the Stars this season, Bouchard has cleared this line in all four meetings. In these games, he has had four or more shots in all four meetings and averages 9.5 shot attempts per game. The Stars are allowing the second most shots on goal to defenceman this playoffs, averaging 9.5 per game.

Last Game Recap

Evan Bouchard Over 2.5 Shots on Goal – WON – (+$10.00)
Edmonton Oilers / Dallas Stars Over 5.5 – LOSS – (-$15.00)
Bouchard gets his shots early in the extra frame. However, we miss the over by one goal.
All-Time Record: 106-100-1 (+$5.94)
