Monday night hockey is back, but just with two games. One team is on the brink of elimination and, if eliminated, would have just a week of playoff life. But don’t worry, we’ve got plays in both games.
Today’s expected goaltender matchups for our highlighted games:
The Tampa Bay Lightning’s Andrei Vasilevskiy (1-3 record, 3.01 GAA, .899 S%) vs. The Florida Panthers’ Sergei Bobrovsky (3-1 record, 3.21 GAA, .874 S%).
The Dallas Stars’ Jake Oettinger (1-2 record, 2.50 GAA, .892 S%) vs. The Vegas Golden Knights’ Logan Thompson (2-1 record, 2.14 GAA, .917 S%).

Florida Panthers puck line -1.5 (+125)

A $10.00 bet would return $22.50.
The Florida Panthers’ in-state rivals, the Tampa Bay Lightning, are on the brink of elimination, but I think they can handle business tonight at home.
The Florida Panthers are 8-2 in their last 10 games and 5-0 in their previous five home games. However, they’ve only covered the puckline in three of their last 10 home games. But that doesn’t scare me.
It’s the playoffs, and they’re on the brink of elimination. If the Lightning is down at the end of the game since they have nothing to play for tomorrow, they’ll pull their goalie early and often in hopes of trying to find the back of the net. This often leads to more empty net goals, helping to cover the puck line.

Wyatt Johnston over 2.5 shots on goal (-175)

A $15.00 bet would return $23.57.
Wyatt Johnston has cleared this line in two of three games this series, averaging 4.0 shots on 10.7 shot attempts per game. In need of a spark in Game 3, the Stars switched up their lines and put Johnston on the right wing alongside Jason Robertson and Roope Hintz – he would have a season-high eight shots on goal.
The 20-year-old is an exceptional sniper on the road. He’s covered this line in 10 straight games, averaging 4.5 shots on 8.2 shot attempts.
Against the Golden Knights, he has cleared in four of his last six games. But if you filter to his games in T-Mobile Arena, he has covered six straight games, averaging 4.8 shots on 8.0 shot attempts. Vegas is allowing the fourth most shots on goal to right-wingers, averaging 8.0 shots per game.

Last Game Recap

Adrian Kempe Over 2.5 Shots on Goal – WON – (+$8.57)
Valeri Nichuskin Over 2.5 Shots on Goal – WON – (+$9.23)
Woo-hoo!! Another sweep. Playoff time gets harder and harder to bet on, so I’m sorry for the juiced plays. However, we just upped our unit size and still returned a profit! Let’s continue that tonight.
All-Time Record: 86-85 (-$17.75)
