Tuesday has a full slate of four games, with all four series at 3-1. Will the teams facing elimination survive? Or can the leading teams continue their dominance and close it out tonight?
Today’s expected goaltender matchups for our highlighted games:
The New York Islanders’ Semyon Varlamov (1-2 record, 2.08 GAA, .930 S%) vs. The Carolina Hurricanes’ Frederik Andersen (3-1 record, 2.08 GAA, .920 S%)
The Colorado Avalanche’s Alexandar Georgiev (3-1 record, 3.04 GAA, .885 S%) vs. The Winnipeg Jets’ Connor Hellebuyck (1-3 record, 5.23 GAA, .870 S%).

Carolina Hurricanes Puck Line -1.5 (+105)

A $10.00 bet would return $20.50.
We’re going right back to the puck line play we played yesterday, as we have the New York Islanders are desperate and facing elimination. Carolina has covered the puck line in three of their last four wins against the Islanders.
It’s the playoffs, and they’re on the brink of elimination. If the Islanders are down at the end of the game since they have nothing to play for tomorrow, they’ll pull their goalie early and often in hopes of trying to find the back of the net. This often leads to more empty net goals, helping to cover the puck line.

Valeri Nichushkin Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-167)

A $15.00 bet would return $24.00.
Valeri Nichushkin has cleared this line in all four games this series, averaging 4.0 shots on 7.3 shot attempts. He has five shots on goal with 11 shot attempts in his last game in Winnipeg this series.
On the road this season, Nichushkin has cleared in 65% of all games, averaging 2.9 shots on 5.0 shot attempts. Against the Jets, he has cleared in five of his last six games, averaging 3.8 shots on 7.0 shot attempts. Winnipeg allows the most shots on goal to left-wingers in the playoffs, averaging 10.0 per game.
