What more could you ask for? Both the Eastern and Western Conference finals are tied up at one piece, and now they switch to best of fives. We’ve seen minimal drama thus far this postseason as there has only been three Game 7s. Maybe the conference finals will spoil us with two?
Today’s confirmed goaltender matchup for our highlighted game:
The New York Rangers’ Igor Shesterkin (9-3 record, 2.22 GAA, .926 S%) vs. The Florida Panthers’ Sergei Bobrovsky (9-4 record, 2.12 GAA, .912 S%).

Vincent Trocheck over 2.5 shots on goal (-160)

A $15.00 bet would return $24.37.
Trocheck has cleared this line in nine of 12 playoff games, averaging 3.1 shots on 6.6 shot attempts. On the road this playoffs, he’s cleared in three of five games, averaging 2.6 shots on 6.2 shot attempts.
Considering Trocheck is averaging 6.6 shot attempts this playoff when we filter his full season shots on goal chart to games where he gets six or more shot attempts, he’s cleared in 86% of his games this season, averaging 3.7 shots per game.
Against the Panthers, Trocheck has cleared in both Game 1 and Game 2 of this series and four of five games this season, averaging 3.6 shots on 6.0 shot attempts. There’s that magic number six again. Let’s hope Trocheck can get there tonight.

Sam Reinhart over 3.5 shots on goal (+100)

A $10.00 bet would return $20.00.
Sam Reinhart has cleared this line in seven of 13 games this playoffs, averaging 4.2 shots on 7.8 shot attempts. In this series against the Rangers, Reinhart only covered in Game 1 but fell one shot shy in Game 2, with 11 shot attempts.
I’ve been waiting until Reinhart is back on home ice to take his shots cause that’s where he shines. He’s cleared in nine of his last 10 games in Amerant Bank Arena, averaging 5.0 shots on 8.3 shot attempts. Reinhart is the primary shooter on the top line with Vladimir Tarasenko and Aleksander Barkov, who haven’t cleared their shots on goal line so far in this series.

Last Game Recap

Evan Bouchard Over 2.5 Shots on Goal – WON – (+$9.37)
Dallas Stars Moneyline – WON – (+$7.40)
Stars take the lead early in the third period and don’t give it back, winning 3-1. Evan Bouchard makes us sweat a little bit, not getting his third shot on goal until under three minutes remaining. And thankfully, he did. I’m not sure I could handle him missing this line when he had 13 shot attempts.
All-Time Record: 108-100-1 (+$22.71)
