Wow. Who was expecting the Conn Smythe favourite to fall from so high? This Edmonton Oilers offence was too good not to explode for at least one game in this series. But considering the title I chose, maybe the series gets extended tonight?
Today’s expected goaltender matchup for our highlighted game:
The Edmonton Oilers’ Stuart Skinner (12-8 record, 2.51 GAA, .898 S%) vs. The Florida Panthers’ Sergei Bobrovsky (15-6 record, 2.27 GAA, .909 S%).

Florida Panthers Moneyline (-135)

A $10.00 bet would return $17.41.
It’s former Calgary Flames Matthew Tkachuk and Sam Bennett who get the last laugh against the Edmonton Oilers tonight. Seeing the dramatic fashion in which the Panthers lost last game, there’s no way Paul Maurice will allow his team to go down without a fight in front of their home crowd.
Tkachuk gave the media his best Mark Messier impression as he gave his guarantee that the Panthers would win the Stanley Cup tonight.
“We have a chance to go capture the biggest goal of our lives tonight. We’re gonna go do that,” Tkachuk said when speaking about Game 5.
We’ll see if he’s successful like Messier was or if the series shifts back to Alberta.

Sergei Bobrovsky Over 25.5 Saves (-110)

A $10.00 bet would return $19.09.
Alright, hear me out. Since it’s the second bet on here, I swear it’ll hit this time.
Sergei Bobrovsky has cleared in seven of 21 playoff games, averaging 22.3 saves per game. However, three of those seven games have been in series-clinching games.
It’s no secret that he struggled in Game 4, allowing five goals on just 16 shots, but Bobrovsky’s proven the ability to bounce back in the regular season. The Panthers pulled Bobrovsky in three games this regular season. Florida won all three following games, with Bobrovsky clearing this line in each game, averaging 33 saves per game –– one of these games was against the Edmonton Oilers, where he stopped 38 of 39 shots.
The Russian netminder has cleared this saves line in five of his latest eight games, averaging 26.9 saves per game. It’s the Stanley Cup final. If the Panthers are leading in the third period, the Oilers are going to do everything they can on net out of desperation, hopefully leading to more Bobrovsky saves for our prop.

Last Game Recap

Vladimir Tarasenko Over 1.5 Shots on Goal – WON – (+$7.00)
Sergei Bobrovsky Over 25.5 Saves – LOSS – (-$10.00)
Okay, I am officially cursed on the title play. Sergei Bobrovsky has his worst game of the series and gets pulled. However, had he stayed in, the Oilers would have gotten enough shots to cash this bet. Vladimir Tarasenko came up clutch early in the first period with two shots and finished with three in the entire game.
All-Time Record: 117-111-1 (-$15.06)
