The final four are set, and it all kicks off tonight with Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final! The Florida Panthers have never won the Stanley Cup in their 30 years of existence, while the New York Rangers have won four times in their history, but not since the Panthers’ first season, back in 1994.
Today’s confirmed goaltender matchup for our highlighted game:
The Florida Panthers’ Sergei Bobrovsky (8-3 record, 2.37 GAA, .902 S%) vs. The New York Rangers’ Igor Shesterkin (8-2 record, 2.40 GAA, .923 S%).

New York Rangers moneyline (-110)

A $10.00 bet would return $19.09.
I just don’t think the Florida Panthers do that well with a lot of rest. They came out flat in Game 1 against the Boston Bruins last series and in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals last season against the Vegas Golden Knights. Not to mention the New York Rangers’ home-ice advantage, allowing them to get the matchups they want with last change.
The Rangers have looked great in Game 1s, going 2-0 so far this series and 4-1 on home ice this playoffs. I’d also give Shesterkin and the Rangers the goaltending edge. While Bobrovsky hasn’t necessarily been bad, his .902 S% this far into the playoffs certainly doesn’t give me the same old Bob feeling from last season’s magical run.

Vincent Trocheck over 2.5 shots on goal (-165)

A $15.00 bet would return $24.09.
Vincent Trocheck has cleared this line in seven of his 10 games this postseason, averaging 3.0 shots on 6.6 shot attempts. Trocheck loves getting revenge last round against his former team, the Carolina Hurricanes, clearing in five of six games and averaging 3.5 shots on 7.8 shot attempts. Now, Trocheck gets another one of his former clubs, the Florida Panthers.
Against the Panthers, Trocheck has cleared in three of his last four meetings, averaging 3.8 shots on 5.8 shot attempts. The Panthers are allowing six shots to centres per game so far this playoffs.
On home ice this season, Trocheck has cleared at a 67% clip, averaging 3.2 shots on 6.1 shot attempts per game, including four of five home games this playoffs.

Last Game Recap

Vancouver Canucks / Edmonton Oilers Under 6.5 – WON – (+$9.09)
Quinn Hughes Over 2.5 Shots on Goal – LOSS – (-$10.00)
Futures Bet from Round 2: Florida Panthers -1.5 – WON – (+$11.50)
This game narrowly stays under, as a late third-period comeback by the Canucks almost ties the game at three and sends it to overtime. Quinn Hughes had just one shot on goal on his six shot attempts.
All-Time Record: 104-98-1 (+$11.85)
