Last night’s Eastern Conference final was a great game. Florida Panthers fans must be relieved that Sam Bennett scored the empty-net goal, as Alexis Lafreniere scored in the final minute to get the goal they were looking for. But it was too little, too late.
Today’s confirmed goaltender matchup for our highlighted game:
The Edmonton Oilers’ Stuart Skinner (9-5 record, 2.71 GAA, .887 S%) vs. The Dallas Stars’ Jake Oettinger (10-6 record, 2.20 GAA, .917 S%).

Edmonton Oilers / Dallas Stars under 6.5 (-150)

A $15.00 bet would return $25.00.
I know, I know, the last two games have gone over, and Stuart Skinner is leaky when you pepper him, and Jake Oettinger is coming off his third-worst performance of the entire playoffs. But Game 5 is such a pivotal game in the series. Whoever wins this just needs one of the following two games to advance, so I think we’ll see a tight defensive game tonight.
It’s going to be a goaltending dual tonight. Oettinger has the ability to bounce back, as he’s lost back-to-back starts just once during the playoffs (his first two games) and only five times in the regular season. Skinner showed his resilience last game after allowing two goals on four shots and then stopping everything flung at him after that.
So far in this playoffs, the series has been tied 2-2 three times. In Game 5, the under has hit in all three games — Florida / New York was one instance, and that went under last night.

Tyler Seguin over 2.5 shots on goal (-125)

A $10.00 bet would return $18.00.
Tyler Seguin has cleared this line in three of four games this series, averaging 3.8 shots on 5.5 shot attempts. He’s gotten an elevation in the Stars lineup, playing on the right wing alongside Jason Robertson and Roope Hintz.
Throughout the 17 playoff matches, he’s cleared this line in 12 games, averaging 3.2 shots on 5.0 shot attempts.

Last Game Recap

Florida Panthers Moneyline – WON – (+$8.33)
Evan Rodrigues Over 1.5 Shots on Goal – LOSS – (-$12.50)
The Florida Panthers went into Madison Square Garden and secured the victory; however, Evan Rodrigues was a non-factor, registering just one shot attempt.
All-Time Record: 112-104-1 (+$8.44)
