The Winnipeg Jets and Colorado Avalanche kick off their series tonight in Winnipeg. The Avalanche really struggled against the Jets this season, dropping all three games and were outscored 17-4. But the playoffs are a different beast; we’ll see if the Avalanche can redeem themselves when it matters.
Today’s expected goaltender matchup for our highlighted game:
The Colorado Avalanche’s Alexandar Georgiev (34-18-5) vs. The Winnipeg Jets’ Connor Hellebuyck (37-19-4).

Connor Hellebuyck over 29.5 saves (+100)

A $10.00 bet would return $20.00.
Hellebuyck has cleared in three of his last five, averaging 30.2 saves per game. Over his last six home games, he has eclipsed this number in three games, averaging 28.3 saves per game.
Against the Colorado Avalanche, Hellebuyck has cleared in nine straight games, averaging 32.8 saves per game — impressive historical numbers for Hellebuyck. Over each team’s last 10 games, the Avalanche are averaging the fourth most shots for (33.8), while the Jets allow 28.9 shots per game.

Josh Morrissey point (-125)

A $10.00 bet would return $18.00.
Josh Morrissey has 11 points in six of his last 10 games. He is currently on a four-game point streak at home, totalling seven points. Against the Avalanche, he’s found the scoresheet in eight of his last 10 games, totalling 13 points — including 2+ points in all three games this season.
Alexandar Georgiev is expected to start tonight, which bodes well for Winnipeg Jets players. The Bulgarian goaltender has struggled in his games leading up to the playoffs. He has allowed 22 goals against over his last five starts, one of which he was pulled, totalling a 6.87 goals against average with a .843 save percentage.

Last Game Recap

Carolina Hurricanes Moneyline & Sebastian Aho Point – LOSS – (-$10.00)
Semyon Varlamov Over 29.5 Shots on Goal – LOSS – (-$10.00)
Carolina seemed to fall asleep after scoring the opening goal, being outshot 21-13 in the first two periods. This wasn’t enough to cash our Varlamov prop, but they found a way to win without Aho finding the score sheet.
All-Time Record: 78-81 (-$54.55)
