We missed the morning game today but still have one game of action as the Columbus Blue Jackets travel south for a date with the Seattle Kraken. The Blue Jackets are coming off an embarrassing loss last night against the Vancouver Canucks. After the second period, the Blue Jackets had a 4-1 lead — just for it to be evaporated 6:30 seconds into the final frame.
The expected goaltending match-up for tonight’s game is Daniil Tarasov (3-4-2) against Joey Daccord (14-8-9).
We’re all in on Oliver Bjorkstrand.

Seattle Kraken moneyline & Oliver Bjorkstrand point (+120)

Seattle has lost four of their last five games, all against teams higher than them in the NHL standings. Their one win was against the Blackhawks, who rank in the bottom five in league standings — the same placement as their opponents today. Historically, the Kraken have defeated the Blue Jackets in three straight games. With the clear goaltending advantage, I expect the Kraken to continue their dominance over the Blue Jackets tonight.
Oliver Bjorkstrand has nine points in his last nine games, including a game against the Blue Jackets, where he tallied three total points. In the 2022-23 off-season, Bjorkstrand was traded from the Blue Jackets to the Kraken. He has played his former team three times, registering a point in all three games, totalling five points.

Oliver Bjorkstrand over 2.5 shots on goal (-138)

Your $10 bet would return $17.27.
With 129 shots on goal this season, Bjorkstrand leads the team in that category and has been the main shooter for his team. Bjorkstrand averages 2.7 shots on 5.9 shot attempts this season. Over his last 10 games, Bjorkstrand averages 2.9 shots on 5.8 shot attempts.
The former Blue Jacket has covered this line in two of his three games against his former club, averaging 3.7 shots on 6.3 shot attempts. Columbus allows the fourth most shots on goal to wingers, averaging 13.8 per game. Bjorkstrand has the most shots on goal and shot attempts on the power play for the Kraken this season, with the Blue Jackets allowing three power play opportunities against per game.

Oliver Bjorkstrand goal (+187)

Your $5 bet would return $14.37.
This is a little fun bet for us. Bjorkstrand only has goals in one of three against his former club, but with how often he is shooting and Tarasov’s 3.90 GAA, we should see some goals — hopefully, our revenge game angle will pay off.

Last Game Recap

Calgary Flames Moneyline & over 5.5 – LOSS – (-$10.00)
MacKenzie Weegar over 2.5 Shots on Goal – LOSS – (-$10.00)
Tough little stretch we’re on here. The Flames secured the win, but the game had one goal scored. Weegar had the volume, with five shot attempts, but only landed two on net. We’ll make some back today.
All-Time Record: 16-20 (-$54)
