The Calgary Flames had themselves a comfortable 3-1 lead with less than five minutes left in the second period and ultimately blew the lead. With 48 seconds remaining in regulation, Brandon Saad scored what would be the game-winning goal — a heartbreaking ending to a game that should have ended the Flames losing streak.
Tonight, another attempt to snap the streak against the league’s 29th-ranked team, the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Flames look to seek revenge as they lost 3-1 earlier this season to the Blue Jackets. Confirmed goalie match-up tonight with be Daniil Tarasov for the Columbus Blue Jackets and Jacob Markstrom for your Calgary Flames.

Calgary Flames moneyline & Nazem Kadri point (+120)

Your $10 bet would return $22.00.
The play of the Calgary Flames over the last few seasons against the Columbus Blue Jackets has been fairly successful, winning seven of their previous nine head-to-head match-ups. Five of the seven wins have come in regulation, and all have covered the -1.5 puck line.
Nazem Kadri is rolling right now, with points in nine of his last 10 games, totalling 12 points. He averages a point per game over his last five against the Blue Jackets. Only trailing the San Jose Sharks, the Blue Jackets allow 3.8 goals against on the season. This number goes up to 4.2 over their last 10 games.
Columbus’ starting goalie tonight, Tarasov has a 4.08 goals against average (GAA) with a .875 save percentage. His average goes up to 5.0 GAA in his last three games.

Jonathan Huberdeau assist (+120)

Your $10 bet would return $22.00.
I just cannot get enough of this guy lately.
Huberdeau has points in seven of his last ten games, totalling 10 points — eight of these ten points were assists. Huberdeau has yet to register a point as a Flame against the Blue Jackets, but as a Panther, he was on a five-game assist streak. Over this last stretch, we’ve noticed Huberdeau return to his Panthers day form, so it wouldn’t surprise if he got himself back on the scoresheet.

MacKenzie Weegar over 2.5 shots on goal (-110)

Your $10 bet would return $19.09.
MacKenzie Weegar has cleared this line in three straight games, averaging 4.0 shots on 8.0 shot attempts per game. All three of these games came at home. In the Scotiabank Saddledome, Weegar is covering this line at a 59% clip, averaging 3.0 shots on goal on 6.5 shot attempts per game.
Earlier this season against the Blue Jackets, Weegar finished with two shots on five attempts — but that was in Columbus. When he plays this team at home, he’s cleared in two of his last three games, averaging 3.3 shots on 5.3 shot attempts. Columbus allows the third most shots on goal to defencemen this season, averaging 9.2 per game.

Last Game Recap

Florida Panthers Moneyline & Sam Reinhart Point – WIN – (+$9.09)
Pavel Buchnevich over 2.5 Shots on Goal – WIN – (+$7.50)
Brock Boeser Goal – LOSS – (-$7.50)
Reinhart and the Panthers steamrolled their way to a 6-2 victory over the Arizona Coyotes. Buchnevich was never going to let us down two days in a row. Boeser finished with four shots on goal with an opportunity at a WIDE open net and shot the puck into the 300 section.
All-Time Record: 15-16 (-$23.11)
