Last night, we saw some teams who absolutely checked out early before the All-Star break. With this being the final slate of games before the break, there should be some different approaches for tonight’s games.
Again, we see teams on the outside looking in, playing teams who are in a playoff position. But there’s one team currently in the playoffs that has been playing very poorly as of late and needs to get proper heading into the break.

Los Angeles Kings moneyline (-120)

Your $10 bet would return $18.33.
Los Angeles comes into tonight’s game losers of four straight and only won two of their previous 16 games — however, they do still find themselves in the first wild card position. With this team having Stanley Cup aspirations, they likely want to build momentum heading into the break so they can start to right the ship when they return.
The Kings prefer playing away from home as they have much better numbers on the road, registering an impressive 14-6-4 road record this season.
Tonight’s confirmed goaltending matchup is David Rittich (4-1-3) against Juuse Saros (19-18-2).

Juuse Saros over 28.5 saves (-118)

Your $10 bet would return $18.50.
These plays correlate together because, with the theory that the Kings want to get right before the break, they should want to build the momentum as high as they can and not let the foot off the gas pedal – which in turn leads to Juuse Saros seeing a lot of pucks thrown his way.
Saros has cleared this total in three of his last five games, averaging 28.2 saves per game. Against the Kings, he has eclipsed this total in four straight games, averaging 35.5 saves per game. While the Predators have only allowed an average of 28.6 shots against over their last 10 games, the Kings are averaging 33.1 shots for in the same period.

Last Game Recap

Columbus Blue Jackets & St. Louis Blues over 6.5 and Robert Thomas Point – LOSS – (-$10.00)
Kirill Marchenko over 2.5 Shots on Goal – LOSS – (-$10.00)
Seattle Kraken to win and Jared McCann Point – LOSS – (-$10.00)
Let’s not sugarcoat it, yesterday was rough. Both our teams get shut out against teams at the bottom of the league’s standings. But let’s take what we learned from yesterday and apply it today to get back in the win column.
All-Time Record: 18-23 (-$89.5)
