Calgary Flames select Axel Hurtig at 208th overall in the 2023 NHL Draft

The Calgary Flames have made their sixth addition at the 2023 NHL Draft. With their seventh-round pick, 208th overall, the Flames have selected Swedish defenceman Axel Hurtig from Rogle BK of the J20 Nationell.
Hurtis was ranked 132nd by FC Hockey and was the 100th-ranked International skater by the NHL’s Central Scouting Service.

Hurtig is a June 2005 birthday and hails from Hogas, Sweden. He’s a 6’4″, 203 pound left-shot blueliner. He had eight points in 34 games with Rogle BK in Sweden’s top junior league, and also represented Sweden at the men’s Under-18 World Championships and the World Junior A Challenge.
