CHL shuts down regular season

The Canadian Hockey League (Western Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League, and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League) collectively shut down their 2019-20 regular seasons this week.

The QMJHL made the first announcement on Tuesday, followed by the WHL and OHL following suit on Wednesday.

In the WHL, Milos Roman finished his season with the Vancouver Giants scoring 24 goals and 47 points in 62 games. The 20-year-old will turn pro next season as he has used up his junior eligibility.

Goaltender Dustin Wolf finishes his season with the Everett Silvertips with the best stats of any WHL goalie. Wolf finished his year with a .935 save percentage and a 1.88 GAA. His 34-10-2 record was the best in the league.

And in the QMJHL, two Flames prospects closed their years with great seasons. Jakob Pelletier of the Moncton Wildcats finishes his regular season with 32 and 82 points in 57 games, while Dmitri Zavgorodny wraps his season with 29 goals and 67 points in 40 games.

No word yet on yet if the three league playoffs or Memorial Cup (hosted by the Kelowna Rockets) will be held in some way, shape or form.
