FGD: This is the End My Friends

Im going to forgoe the usual FGD post today, seeing as none of the regular analysis matters at this point. Instead, I wanted to share a few thanks.
First, thanks to all our readers, both regular and sporadic, for coming by and contributing in the comments. We aim to entertain and illuminate as much as possible here at FN and the lively debates and such that pop up in the comments section every day makes writing here more engaging, more challenging and more fun.
Thanks also to my co-contributors here. Vintage Flame and Justin Azevedo are relatively new members of the team, but they are always there when I need someone to jump in to moderate a chat or some comments, add another take or article or submit a picture or photoshop. I’d also like to thank Rob Vollman for his tireless work on the stats/Black Box project and his undying patience when it comes to engaging questions (and criticisms).
Thank you Robert Cleave, who has been my co-conspirator since I established Matchsticks & Gasoline years ago. Bob had real life catch up to him this season so he had to pare back on his contributions somewhat. He’s still a valuable asset to the site and the network and I hope to see more of his aricles pop up here down the road.
Finally, thanks to Pat Steinberg as well, who is truly one of the hardest working guys in the industry. He’d still be here if not for business matters that were outside both his and my control. He’s a good dude and I hope to work with him in some capacity in the future.
Thanks to some of the MSM folks who have made time for me this season as well. Independent Blogs and the legit media are often portrayed as adversaries, but I’ve found a lot of the professionals in Calgary to be patient and receptive despite the fact I’m technically the enemy.
There will be a game chat today for those who wish to drop by. We will also begin our off-season coverage in earnest next week.
Thanks again everyone for another great year here at FlamesNation. Onwards and upwards.
