On Monday, Calgary visits a struggling Canadiens squad that finally snapped an eight-game losing streak with Saturday’s 2-1 overtime win in Ottawa as a -145 wager.
The Canadiens’ slide marked the second time in less than two months that the team had lost eight in a row. The Montreal offence has been silent during the team’s swoon, averaging fewer than two goals per game over their past seven contests, fueling a 6-1 run for the UNDER in totals betting.
Montreal has also turned in poor results on home ice, losing five straight while scoring just eight total goals, and 12 of 14 overall since mid-November. However, the Canadiens have taken two of its last three from Calgary on home ice, capped by a narrow 3-2 win in the Flames’ last visit in October 2018.
