Flames Game No.75 – King Lear
By Kent Wilson
13 years agoIn my writings on the bounces and their effect on results, I’ve often referred to the percentages as "the hockey gods". Things seem to be regressing back to the mean for the Flames after enjoying the favor of the hockey gods since about mid-January, resulting in their recent struggles. As such, if Calgary loses tonight Flames fans will no doubt feel like the Earl of Gloucester from King Lear: "As flies to wanton boys were are to th’ gods, they kill us for their sport."
