Head-to-head ice.
Well, the good news is Iginla et al rebounded with a solid effort against good players. The big boys sawed it off against the Sharks Thornton line at ES tonight. That’s not too bad on the second evening of a B2B.
Of course, as has been the case for the Flames this year when one half of the top 6 has a good night, the other guys got killed. Jokinen et al were matched against the Pavelski line and had their asses handed to them. That discrepency led to the team being outclassed at ES overall tonight. It’s something that’s simply going to happen against a good team in their own barn now and then, but it’s not something any Flames fans want to hear in the midst of a 1 and 7 run.
