Things are but lopsided due to the Avs chasing for the entire evening. Flames were the much better team in the first period and were able to finish on a high percentage of their chances to boot. Some of that carried over into the second period until the Stempniak goal, at which point the Flames started to sit back. Colorado pressed hard in the third and really took over the game, but it was too little too late thanks to some Kipper heroics and nice bounces.
Calgary played well enough to win, although they sat back way too much for my liking in the final frame. Iginla and crew were above water for the second straight night which is a nice indication, although the second line with Jokinen, Bourque and Glencross got killed. Moss should be back on the wing there, but he left with an injury in the second…
