Face-offs
Not a lot going on in this contest for the first couple of periods. Both teams were kept to the outside and the scoring chances they did happen to generate were mostly along the edge of the scoring area. The third was certainly more active and the Flames happened to be the club to cash in on one of their chances, while the Blues hit a couple of posts. The margin between the two clubs as thin so the 1-0 score is a pretty fair representation.
As far as individuals go, Iginla had his second straight nominal outing while David Moss was, again, the best Flames forward on the ice. Mosser isn’t going to be able to tow the line himself forever so Iginla is going to need to pull out of his funk if the Flames are going to continue to compete for a playoff spot.
