The Calgary Flames made a minor roster tweak today, sending oft-scratched veteran winger Tim Jackman to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for a sixth round pick in the upcoming 2014 NHL Draft.
Originally acquired as a free agent, Jackman was the odd man out in the fourth line group, particular with the emergence of Lance Bouma this season.
The Flames recalled (Go) Blair Jones from Abbotsford to fill Jackman’s roster spot. Jones has been on a scoring tear with the Heat this season.
The trade also gives the Flames 46 active pro contracts, or four to add before the end of the year.
