Hey look, another game the Flames should win going away.

There isn’t on team in the entire league that has scored fewer goals than the Blues, who have just 74 in 30 games. Granted, they have two games in hand on both the Hurricanes and Lightning, which have 77 each, but the point stands. Any time you’re lumped into a statistical category with those teams, things are going terribly for you.

So right now you’re probably wondering how the Flames’ll screw it up this time. Fair question, that’s for sure. But here’s the key, ladies and germs: The Blues have, despite scoring 74 goals, only allowed 82. That’s seventh in the league, and that’s really quite impressive. And hey, guess where the Flames have been having problems lately. Did you guess offense? Sure! That’s right!

So will the Flames, who can’t score to save their lives of late, run into problems tonight? My guess: Yup. I’d bet a good deal of money that this game ends one of two ways, either 2-1 in overtime or 6-5.

That’s just the way things have gone lately.

The Calgary Flames (19-9-4 for 42 points. Fifth in the West, second in the Northwest) and the St. Louis Blues (13-12-5 for 31 points. Tied for 14th in the West, fifth in the Central).

Calgary is 11-4-3 on the road this year, but is 0-1-1 when visiting Central Division opponents. The Blues are 5-10-2 at home, which I can’t even begin to understand.

Andy Murray — Andy Murray doesn’t know what he’s doing. That much is obvious. Except, of course, that he knows who to blame every single thing that ever goes wrong on poor David Perron. True story: Perron scored a hat trick this year, and in the postgame press conference, Murray criticized him for taking a penalty of some kind midway through the second period, despite the opposing team not scoring on the resultant power play.

Keith Tkachuk —No I’m just kidding Keith Tkachuk rules. He’s fat and awesome and from Boston and I love him.

Their TV deal — They’re going to air Brett Hull night, but then not the game itself. That’s the truth, if you can believe it.
