The Calgary Flames will have their sights set on first place in the Pacific Division standings when they play host to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday in a clash pegged as a -110 pick’em on the NHL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
Calgary continued its strong play under interim head coach Geoff Ward with a 5-2 victory in Arizona on Tuesday to pull within two points of both the Coyotes and Edmonton Oilers in the race for top spot in the Pacific going into Thursday night’s game at Scotiabank Saddledome.

Maple Leafs at Flames | OddsShark Matchup Report

Mired in a six-game losing streak that threatened to derail their season just three weeks ago, the Flames have made an impressive turnaround since Ward took over the coaching reins on November 27. With Ward at the helm, the Flames have posted six straight victories, including a trio of wins on home ice.
In addition to returning the team to the NHL playoff picture, the Flames have also enjoyed a new offensive spark under their new bench boss, potting 18 total goals over their past four outings after scoring just 16 goals in their previous 10 contests. That has contributed to steady 4-0 run for the OVER at sports betting sites, which marks a significant turnaround after the UNDER paid out in 13 of their previous 17 contests.
Meanwhile, the Maple Leafs look to stay perfect on their current four-game Western trip that features their lone visit to Calgary this season. Toronto halted a two-game slide with a  5-2 win in St. Louis to open the road trip, and followed up with a decisive 4-1 win in Vancouver as a -115 wager on Tuesday night.
Toronto has also held the upper hand in recent dates with the Flames, posting wins in five of their past seven meetings, according to the OddsShark NHL Database, capped by a lopsided 6-2 victory in their last visit to town back in early March. However, the Maple Leafs have been streaky performers on the road this season. The team endured a dismal stretch of eight road contests that featured just one win between mid-October and mid-November, but has gone 5-2-0 on the road since the hiring of new head coach Sheldon Keefe three weeks ago.
