The Calgary Flames beat the Anaheim Ducks by a 2-1 score on Sunday night. Here are selected reactions following the game.

The bounce-back game

The Flames were much better than they were against the Kings on Saturday night. Granted, they weren’t perfect, but they did a lot of things that they’ll need to build on going forward.
Netminder Cam Talbot provided his assessment of his team’s bounce-back:
I thought everyone took accountability from last night and came out and played for each other tonight. There’s a lot of good things which we did tonight that we need to do moving forward to be a successful team. I liked our battle level tonight, our compete, our work ethic and our dedication in our own zone to get those pucks out when we needed it.

Three cheers for Quine

Alan Quine played for the Stockton Heat on Friday night in San Diego, earning two assists in a 5-1 win. On Saturday night he played again in Bakersfield, earning another two assists in a 4-3 win. He was called up on Sunday morning when it became clear that Sam Bennett wasn’t going to be an option for the game in Anaheim.
Playing his third game in three nights, Quine played 9:50 on the fourth line and had three shots. You wouldn’t have known he had played the previous two nights from how he was moving around on the fore-check.
