The Calgary Flames snapped a four game losing skid on Saturday night, playing a solid overall game in a 5-0 win over the Edmonton Oilers.
Here are some selected quotes from the post-game media addresses.

Sean Monahan

After the win, and his 44th game-winning goal of the season, Monahan was in vintage form discussing the takeaways from the victory.
I think the two points. We needed to win a game and now we have a chance to build on that. So we’ve got to get ready here for our next one.

Darryl Sutter

The start of the game was somewhat delayed due to some issues regarding the submitted line-ups. Sutter explained what the hold-up was all about.
Because of the COVID restrictions that we have we’re not able to hand game sheets for our starting line-ups or official line-ups, usually you hand it off to the coaches and referees and everybody gets a copy. Well now it comes across on the iPad and their roster was incorrect. The reason it took so long was they had to talk to Toronto. It didn’t go through. They did have the right roster but it wasn’t listed properly, so just wanted to make sure.
Sutter didn’t dispute the notion that the win was a blueprint for the future, but was quick to point to goaltending as a big factor early in the game.
We got the saves when we needed in the first period. You know what, if we’d have lost 2-1 then I’m sure everyone would’ve said that we can’t score. I’m glad we scored a power play goal. I’m glad that we got some balance out of our four lines tonight. More important than all the issues about who plays with who up front, I think it’s more important that Gio and Chris got to play together and that Noah and Ras got to play together. That was way more significant than any other changes there were tonight.
