Sam Bennett Out Tonight, Day-to-Day With Upper Body Injury

Well, that’s not good.

A bit of a last minute news item for everyone before the game. Markus Granlund will make his 2015-16 debut and the lines will be shuffled mightily as Sam Bennett is out for tonight with an upper-body injury.

Bennett missed a gigantic chunk of last season with shoulder surgery and was not part of the group that took the optional practice this morning, but this comes as a bit of a surprise. Given that Flames head coach Bob Hartley noted no line-up changes as of this morning, one concludes that this must be a recent development.
