The playoffs continue with two games two’s tonight in the Eastern Conference.
Today’s expected goaltender matchups for our highlighted games:
The New York Islanders’ Semyon Varlamov (14-8-4) vs. The Carolina Hurricanes’ Frederick Andersen (13-2).
The Toronto Maple Leafs’ Ilya Samsonov (23-7-8) vs. The Boston Bruins’ Jeremy Swayman (25-10-8).

Andrei Svechnikov over 2.5 shots on goal (-138)
Andrei Svechnikov came out in game one absolutely firing, finishing with six shots on 13-shot attempts. He’s cleared in three of his last five games, averaging 3.8 shots on 6.8 shot attempts. Svechnikov has cleared in seven of his previous nine home games, averaging 3.8 shots on 6.9 shot attempts.
Against the Islanders this season, Svechnikov has cleared this line in both home games and five of his last six in the previous three seasons, averaging 3.5 shots on 7.5 shot attempts. The Islanders allow the most shots on goal to right-wingers so far this playoffs, allowing 14 to Carolina right-wingers.
Here is a shot on goal positional rankings sheet I put together with data from this year’s playoffs. Hopefully these can help with your other shot on goal playoff bets.

Brad Marchand point (-150)
A $15.00 bet would return $25.00.
Brad Marchand finds another gear in two situations: the playoffs and against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Luckily for FlamesNation bettors, both happen to be true at once.
Marchand has scored six points in five of his last eight games. He has also scored a point in six of his previous ten home games and 62% of all games this season.
Against the Leafs, he has a point in all five games this season, totalling seven points. Ilya Samsonov has struggled lately, allowing 15 goals in his last three starts.
Last Game Recap
Connor Hellebuyck Over 29.5 Shots on Goal – WON – (-$10.00)
Josh Morrissey Point – WON – (+$8.00)
Well, Hellebuyck didn’t exactly have a great game, as he allowed six goals, but he still stopped 40 shots and cashed our prop. Josh Morrissey also opened up the scoring for the Winnipeg Jets and would later tally another assist.
All-Time Record: 80-81 (-$36.55)
