Calgary Flames blueliner Rasmus Andersson returns to practice after getting hit by car

Good news, everybody! The Calgary Flames returned to the Saddledome ice for practice on Wednesday, their first practice at home since late January, and an important player made an appearance.
After being hit by a car in Detroit last Wednesday, Rasmus Andersson was on the ice.
Andersson missed the last three games of Calgary’s road trip due to, y’know, getting hit by a car. He remained on the active roster and was declared day-to-day by the team, and reportedly only had a few stitches and scrapes from the whole ordeal. That’s great news, because Andersson is both incredibly important to the hockey club and experiencing a really strong season for his team.
Per Pat Steinberg (thanks, Pat!), Andersson was skating on a defensive pairing with frequent healthy scratch Connor Mackey. That suggests that he won’t play on Thursday against Detroit, but we’ll see how things look at morning skate on Thursday and judge from there.
