There&#8217;s no morning skate, so we&#8217;ll see what firms up at warm-up. <strong>Update: Markstrom starts; Mackey, Ritchie and Stone are spectators.</strong></p>
<p>In six games since the All-Star Break, the Flames are 2-2-2. They&#8217;re at a point now where they really need to start stringing wins together if they want to reel in some of the teams ahead of them in the Western Conference playoff race. The challenge is they&#8217;ve had minor challenges here and there, and whenever it seems like they&#8217;re rounding into form&#8230; another part of their game springs a leak for a few games. (It&#8217;s been their penalty kill recently.)</p>

(Yes, they&#8217;re going full Joni Ortio right now.) Ersson is expected to start, Hart to back up, and Sandstrom, Justin Braun and Kieffer Bellows as the scratches.</p>
<p>The Flyers are on a four game losing skid, including losing back-to-back outings by 6-2 scores to Seattle and Vancouver this week. They&#8217;re 1-4-1 since the All-Star Break, and they&#8217;re trudging along towards the end of what&#8217;s been a pretty miserable, joyless season in the City of Brotherly Love.</p>
