The Calgary Flames have signed newly-acquired forward Yegor Sharangovich to a two-year contract, Sharangovich&#8217;s agent Dan Milstein confirmed Wednesday morning. The Flames subsequently confirmed the news on their official website and Twitter account.

Sharangovich&#8217;s deal with the Flames carries a $3.1 million cap hit through the end of the 2024–25 season, at which point he&#8217;ll be eligible to become an unrestricted free agent.

The Flames acquired Sharangovich and a 2023 third-round draft pick (No. 80 overall) from the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday in exchange for veteran winger Tyler Toffoli.
Sharangovich, 25, scored 13 goals and 30 points in 75 games with the Devils during the 2022–23 regular season. The Devils originally selected the Belarusian winger in the fifth round (No. 141 overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft.

After scoring 17 goals in 34 KHL games with Minsk Dynamo in 2020–21, Sharangovich made his NHL debut with the Devils later that same year. He collected 16 goals and 30 points in 54 games with the Devils in 2020–21.
The following season, Sharangovich scored 24 goals and 46 goals in 76 games with the Devils while primarily playing on a line with top centre Jack Hughes. The six-foot-two winger has collected 53 goals and 106 points in 205 career NHL games with New Jersey.
With Sharangovich now under contract, the Flames have three restricted free agents due qualifying offers by June 30: Emilio Pettersen, Ben Jones, and Martin Pospisil. The latter two are eligible to file for arbitration.
Toffoli, 31, was the Flames&#8217; leading scorer in the 2022–23 regular season, setting new career highs with 34 points and 73 points in 82 games. He has one year remaining on his contract, which carries a $4.25 million cap hit.
The Flames missed the playoffs in 2022–23 after posting a 38–27–17 record and 93 points in 82 games. They finished fifth in the Pacific Division and ninth in the Western Conference.
