Calgary Flames forward Sam Bennett has been arguably the Flames’ best forward early on in their first-round playoff series against the Vancouver Canucks.
In the second period of Friday night’s Game 2, Bennett left the contest mid-way through the second period. He took two more shifts after sustaining an unnoticed and so far undisclosed injury, but totalled just 39 seconds of ice time.
He didn’t return for the start of the third period. He was under evaluation and was briefly questionable to return, although he’s since returned to the game. His health status is still worth monitoring, as is the source of what occurred and we’ll update this post once more information is available.
