One day after extending their winning streak to seven games, the Calgary Flames (27-13-6, 60 points) are back in action! And they face a pretty interesting test in the form of an old divisional rival, the Anaheim Ducks (23-17-9, 55 points)! Can the Flames maintain their high standard of play and remain firmly in the win column?
This game gets going just after 7:30 p.m. MT. You can catch the action on Sportsnet 360 (and West) and Sportsnet 960 The Fan.

The Flames

Projected lines via Daily Faceoff:
Gaudreau – Lindholm – Tkachuk
Coleman – Backlund – Mangiapane
Dube – Monahan – Toffoli
Lucic – Ruzicka – Lewis
Hanifin – Andersson
Kylington – Tanev
Zadorov – Gudbranson
Aside from @Jacob Markstrom starting instead of @Daniel Vladar, who started yesterday against Columbus, expect few if any changes for the Flames. Calgary’s active extras are @Brett Ritchie, @Michael Stone and @Brad Richardson.
The Flames have already captured a win this the current seven game segment (with wins in the first four games) but they’re hoping to maintain their winning ways and generally keep playing smart hockey in all three zones. They were good but not perfect against Columbus, and they’ll be out to prove something against the Ducks.
New Flames forward Tyler Toffoli, who scored a goal on Tuesday night, is no stranger to the Ducks: this will be his 32nd game against that club. He’s only played more games against Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.

The Ducks

Projected lines via Daily Faceoff:
Henrique – Getzlaf – Terry
Milano – Zegras – Rakell
Grant – Lundestrom – Silfverberg
Deslauriers – Steel – Robinson
Fowler – Mahura
Lindholm – Drysdale
Benoit – Shattenkirk
@John Gibson likely starts for Anaheim, backed up by @Anthony Stolarz. Their extras are @Maxime Comtois, @Sam Carrick and @Greg Pateryn.
Heading into the season, a lot of pundits weren’t sure what to expect from the Ducks. Would the kids take a step? Would the veterans gel with them? Well, yes and yes. As a result, the Ducks have been one of the big success stories of the season. They lost against Seattle on Feb. 11, their first game since the end of January, but prior to that setback they had points in six straight (4-0-2).
They’re not a powerhouse, yet, but they have a lot of fun and exciting players – hey there, Jamie Drysdale, Josh Mahura, Troy Terry and Trevor Zegras. Underestimate them at your peril.
