Every single Calgary Flames prospect in college, junior, and overseas has begun their 2025-26 season.
This is the Oct. 28 – Nov. 10 edition of the Flames prospect round-up, where we look at how Flames prospects have done every week. Specifically, we’ll look at players playing overseas, in junior hockey, or at the college level, as the American Hockey League prospects will have an article of their own in the Wranglers recap.
Let’s take a look at how Flames’ prospects have performed over the past two weeks.
Cole Reschny
Since the last roundup, Cole Reschny and the North Dakota Fighting Hawks have played four games. They lost 4-3 in overtime to Minnesota Duluth, but got their revenge the following day with a 5-1 win. The following weekend, they defeated Omaha 7-2 and 4-1.
Reschny picked up an assist in the 5-1 win, two assists in the 7-2 win, and a goal and two assists in the 4-1 victory. For the season, the Flames’ 18th overall pick in 2025 has two goals and 10 points in 10 games.
This week, the Fighting Hawks will take on Cullen Potter and the Arizona State University Sun Devils. Speaking of Potter…
Cullen Potter
Cullen Potter and the Arizona State Sun Devils played four games. They defeated Miami (Ohio) 4-1, but split the two games with a 5-2 loss on Nov. 1. On Nov. 7, the Sun Devils defeated Colorado College 4-3 in a shootout, but fell 3-1 the next day.
It was a good week for Potter, as he scored his first goal of the season in their 4-1 win, also picking up an assist. The Flames’ 32nd overall pick in the 2025 draft was held off the scoresheet in their 5-2 loss and their 4-3 win, but picked up an assist in their 3-1 loss. Through 10 games this season, Potter has a goal and six points.
This week, Arizona State will head north to face Cole Reschny, Cade Littler, and North Dakota in two games over the weekend.
Theo Stöckselius
Theo Stöckselius remains out of Djurgårdens IF U20’s lineup, leaving him with one goal and nine points in seven games this season. Djurgårdens IF U20 defeated MoDo Hockey U20 by a score of 4-3 in overtime and defeated IF Björklöven U20 4-1.
This coming week, Djurgårdens IF U20 host Timrå IK U20 on Saturday and Brynäs IF U20 on Sunday. Stöckselius suffered a cut from a skate in October, hence why he’s been out for a while.
Mace’o Phillips
Mace’o Phillips returned to the Green Bay Gamblers lineup for the first time since Oct. 18, playing in their two most recent games. Before his return, the Gamblers fell 4-3 to the Waterloo Black Hawks and defeated the Dubuque Fighting Saints 3-2. In the two games Phillips played in, the Gamblers defeated the Madison Capitols 4-3 in a shootout before falling 3-2 to them in overtime.
Phillips was held off the scoresheet in both games that he played. In the 10 games he’s played this season, the Flames’ third-round pick in the 2025 draft has a goal and three points, along with 45 penalty minutes. This week, the Gamblers host the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders for two games over the weekend.
Ethan Wyttenbach
Despite being drafted in the fifth round by the Flames in the 2025 draft, Ethan Wyttenbach has been their top performer from the 2025 class. In their three most recent games, Quinnipiac fell 3-2 in a shootout to Alaska Fairbanks and 4-2 to Yale, but defeated Brown by a score of 4-3 in overtime.
Wyttenbach had at least a point in all three games, scoring a goal and an assist in the 3-2 loss, as well as an assist in their 4-2 loss and 4-3 victory, with the latter coming on the overtime winner. In 11 games with Quinnipiac, the winger has five goals and 12 points.

It’s a light schedule for Quinnipiac this week, as they host Boston University on Saturday at 2:00 PM MT.
Aidan Lane
Sixth-round pick Aidan Lane was the last of the prospects covered in the roundup to start his season. It began with a 2-1 shootout loss to Connecticut, followed by a 6-2 win over Stonehill, a 3-1 defeat to Cornell University, and a 6-5 victory over Colgate University, not to be confused with the toothpaste company. Lane scored twice, once in their victory over Stonehill and in their 3-1 loss to Cornell.
This week, Harvard heads on the road to take on Clarkson University on Friday and St. Lawrence University on Saturday.
Jakob Leander
HV71 U20 and Jakob Leander played two games recently, falling 4-3 to Rögle BK U20 and 5-1 to Malmö Redhawks U20. Leander was held pointless in both games, giving him a goal and four points in 15 games this season.
This week, HV71 U20 faces Frölunda HC U20 on Saturday.
Yan Matveiko
Flames’ seventh-round pick in 2025, Yan Matveiko, has found his scoring touch once again. On Oct. 29, he scored a goal and an assist in Krasnaya Armiya’s 7-0 victory over Stalnye Lisy. Matveiko scored their lone goal in a 2-1 overtime loss to Krylya Sovetov and picked up an assist in Krasnaya Armiya’s 2-1 shootout win over Sovetov.
In 20 games this season, the 19-year-old has nine goals and 20 points. Last season, Matveiko scored 10 goals and 24 points in 42 games, so he’ll surely surpass both totals at some point soon.
It’s a busy week for Krasnaya Armiya, as they play two games against Almaz on Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as a game against Loko on Saturday.
Jacob Battaglia
Entering the games that we’ll cover in this article, Jacob Battaglia and the Kingston Frontenacs were on a two-game losing streak. That only got worse with a 4-3 loss to the Peterborough Petes, a 6-1 loss to the London Knights, a 3-0 loss to the Windsor Spitfires, and another loss to the Knights. They finally snapped the losing streak with a 3-2 win over the Kitchener Rangers.
Battaglia scored a goal and an assist in their 4-3 loss to the Petes, then was held pointless in their next three games before scoring against the Spitfires. In 16 games this season, the winger has eight goals and 13 points and is a -3.

He didn’t return, and it was later reported that he suffered a season-ending injury. Through 10 games, he had nine assists.
Kirill Zarubin
Recently, Mikhailov Academy played four games, with Kirill Zarubin playing in three of them. They defeated HC Kapitan 2-1 on Halloween, followed by a 2-1 loss on Nov. 6. Mikhailov Academy returned to the win column on Nov. 8, as they defeated Taifun 5-2. Lastly, they shut out Sakhalinskie Akuly by a score of 2-0.
Zarubin, the Flames’ third-round pick in 2024, saved 19 of 20 shots in their 2-1 win, 20 of 22 shots in their 2-1 loss, and 25 of 27 shots in their 5-2 victory. This season, the 20-year-old has a .925 save percentage and 2.07 goals against average.
Mikhailov Academy plays JHC Atlant on Sunday.
Trevor Hoskin
Trevor Hoskin and Merrimack played three games, losing 5-1 to Connecticut, 3-2 in overtime to Boston University, and 5-4, once again to Boston University. Hoskin had an assist in all three games, giving the Flames’ fourth-round pick in 2024 two goals and eight points in eight games.
Merrimack will look to snap their four-game losing streak, as they play a home-and-home against Providence College on Friday and Saturday.
Luke Misa
Penn State had a solid two weeks, defeating Ohio State by a score of 3-2 and 4-3, but fell 2-1 in overtime and 5-0 to Michigan State this past weekend. Flames’ fifth-rounder in 2024, Luke Misa, was held pointless in all four games, as he has a goal and two points in 12 games this season.
This weekend, Penn State hosts Michigan for two games in Big Ten action.
Hunter Laing
The Saskatoon Blades haven’t had a ton of success in recent times. They defeated the Tri-City Americans on Oct. 28, but then fell 2-1 in overtime to the Spokane Chiefs, 5-1 to the Seattle Thunderbirds, 3-2 in overtime to the Wenatachee Wild, 6-5 to the Moose Jaw Warriors, and 4-1 to the Calgary Hitmen.

Eric Jamieson

Jamieson scored a goal and an assist in their 6-0 victory, as well as a goal in their 3-1 win against Western Michigan. The Flames’ sixth-rounder in 2024 now has four goals and seven points in 10 games with the Pioneers.
REPLAY: Eric Jamieson cleans up for his 2nd goal in as many games.
This week, Denver plays a home-and-home against Colorado College on Friday and Saturday.
Jaden Lipinski
Jaden Lipinski and Maine played four games since the latest roundup. They defeated Boston University 5-4 in overtime and 8-5. They then followed that with a 6-2 win over UMass, before falling 4-0 in their most recent game. Lipinski’s lone point, an assist, came in their 8-5 victory, giving him two goals and six points in 10 games this season.
Maine hosts Vermont for two games over the weekend, with Friday’s game starting at 5:00 PM MT and Saturday’s game starting at 5:30 PM MT.
Yegor Yegorov
Yegor Yegorov and JHC Spartak-MAX played two games since the latest roundup, defeating AKM-Yunior 2-1 in overtime on Halloween, then defeating JHC Atlanta on Nov. 7. The Flames’ goaltending prospect made two starts, stopping 42 of 43 shots in their overtime win, the 33 of 36 shots in their 4-3 win. This season, the sixth-round pick in 2023 has a .931 save percentage and 2.49 goals against average.
JHC Spartak-MAX play two games this week, both against SKA Academy. The first game is on Nov. 12, the other is on Nov. 14.
Axel Hurtig
It’s been a busy period in the Calgary Hitmen’s schedule. Since the latest roundup, they defeated the Red Deer Rebels 4-3 in a shootout, the Prince Albert Raiders 3-2 in overtime, the Brandon Wheat Kings 3-1, before falling 4-3 in overtime to the Regina Pats. That started a mini two-game losing streak, as they fell 6-2 to the Moose Jaw Warriors on Nov. 5, but they got back in the win column with a 6-2 win over the Swift Current Broncos and a 4-1 victory over the Saskatoon Blades.
