Flames Recall Tyler Wotherspoon

The Flames haven’t announced it yet, but according to the AHL Tyler Wotherspoon has been recalled to Calgary’s parent club again. With Dennis Wideman out for the season and Deryk Engelland celebrating the birth of a child, Wotherspoon will get another shot to impress Flames brass. The 23-year old former second round pick is a pending restricted free agent, so he no doubt relishes each audition before the end of the season.
The Flames need Wotherspoon tonight, otherwise they will have to play with 5D and 13F against the Canadiens. We’ll see if he makes it before puck drop or not. If Wotherspoon plays, Freddie Hamilton likely sits.
