Flames got a point out of the proceedings thanks to a last minute PP marker and were certainly better than they were against the Oilers, but it was another night of spending too much time in their own end and getting outchanced.
Pucks have stopped going in for the first line as well, which is bad news because even the addition of Glencross couldn’t stop the Iginla line from getting their heads beat in again. Sutter is using Iggy and company against top lines as much as possible thanks to the sudden lack of dpeth and the results aren’t at all pretty.
I honestly can’t remember the last time Calgary meaningfully outchanced the bad guys and I’m not sure they have done it twice in a row since December. It’s been an ugly run for the skaters and it’s not getting any better heading into the deadline here.
