*Note – thanks to the TSN blackout, this is just the second and third period count. We will be updating things this weekend with the full tally.
Flames were definitely the inferior team in the second period and earned their deficit, but managed to jump on a Hawks team who seemed to think the game was over before the buzzer in the third. Bourque and Iginla came to life and made things interesting before the game was iced by Hossa.
Jarome had one of his best games against the Hawks in a while. Part of the reason was his play, but another part was the fact that he faced Bolland and Bickell most of the night. Quenneville split seabrook and Keith a majority of the time and Iggy saw more of the former, when in fact Keith has been the guy to keep him in check in the past.
In addition, Jokinen’s line saw a lot more of Toews and Kane and suffered for it. Jokinen got his head beat in and it’s hard to really hold it against him…Toews is out of his league.
