While the Flames were handily outchanced through the first two periods, they managed to keep things relatively close at ES and then started to turn the tide as San Jose began to run out of gas in the third. It could have been ugly after two, but the Sharks missed a lot of 10-bellers and Calgary finished on two of their three opportunities. That likely sums up San Jose’s recent struggles rather well.
Nice redemption for Matt Stajan, who has just a miserable time of it since he came over from Toronto.
