The new look Flames take the ice against one their primary nemeses the last few years. The Hawks are legit even with a few bodies out of commission and have made a habit of humiliating Calgary here and there. Tonight will therefore be a stiff test for Backlund’s first turn as a frontline center this season, to say nothing of Brodie and Byron making their debuts. Luckily Chicago played the night before, so hopefully that will take some of the edge off – however, it should surprise no one if some of the youngsters struggle tonight.
